This historical museum is a good starting place to learn about telecommunication history and how it incorporated in our Canadian history. Totally worth the detour. Staff is nice, friendly and but don't expect them to be knowledgeable in those artifacts in the museum.
A well run and informative museum. You'll learn all about the first transatlantic cable location and operations. The original cables can still be seen.
Really neat place to visit to learn about the history of the first telegraph cable to link North America to Europe.
Very nice that this important piece of history is remembered. The displays are a bit dry for the average visitor. Fascinating if you like the history of communications.
Transatlantic cables came ashore here - you can still see them come out the Atlantic, cross under the road, into this building. Telegraph news & business North America to England became 5 minutes rather than 6 days. Displays could be made interactive & more interesting, needs a curator with ideas.
